Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not in the app itself.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for ScreenShark. Apple typically responds within a few days.

I created a block and now I’m locked out forever — help!

Don’t panic. Blocks are time-limited and lift automatically when their end time passes. Open ScreenShark to see the countdown for any active block. If you set a very long duration by mistake, you can revoke ScreenShark’s Screen Time permission in Settings → Screen Time → See All Activity → Apps with Restrictions (exact path varies by iOS version), which will end the block.

Why can’t I see my apps in the picker?

Apple’s Family Controls framework intentionally hides app names and icons from third-party apps for privacy. The picker you see is rendered by iOS itself, not by us. Your selections are encrypted and only the operating system knows what you chose.

Does ScreenShark work without an internet connection?

Yes. Once a block is set, the enforcement is local — the operating system blocks the apps even when you’re offline.

Can I use ScreenShark on multiple devices?

Each subscription is tied to your Apple ID and works across iPhones and iPads signed into that Apple ID. Block configurations are per-device.

Is my data being shared?

No. Your Screen Time data — including which apps you use, which apps you block, and how often — never leaves your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
